This year, Patrice and I traveled to Perry, Georgia, to attend our fifth Family
RV Association (FRVA) Rally. Our history with these gatherings is extensive; we
have previously attended the Perry rally three times, traveled to Gillette,
Wyoming for a national rally once, and visited Myrtle Beach for a GEAR rally.
Each event has its own unique atmosphere, but this year I felt a strong desire
to contribute something special—a way to truly fire up the crowd and help
everyone connect with the spirit of the moment.
With that goal in mind, I sat down and wrote an original song dedicated to our
community. We officially debuted the piece during the First Timers Orientation
on Tuesday afternoon. To our delight, the crowd responded with immediate
enthusiasm. The reaction was so positive that the executive board approached
us afterward, clearly impressed by how the music resonated with the attendees.
They extended a formal invitation for me to perform the song again the
following night during the high-profile opening ceremony.
Standing before an audience of at least a thousand people was a thrilling
experience. Paul Mitchell, the President of the FRVA, personally introduced
Patrice and me to the stage, and I was eager to share my creation with the
full assembly. The song was designed as an anthem, featuring a specific
section intended for a communal chant of "F. R. V. A." I took a moment during
the first verse to teach the audience the rhythm, and the results were
spectacular. By the time the second verse arrived, the entire crowd was fully
engaged, pumping their fists in the air and shouting "F.R.V.A!" with a volume
that was absolutely deafening.
The sheer joy on people's faces was the greatest reward. After the show, we
were overwhelmed by fellow RVers coming up to ask where they could download
the track. Knowing that I had created something that could so deeply resonate
with the oldest RV club in the country brought a tear to my eye. It was a
profound moment of connection that highlighted the enduring bond shared by
members of this unique community. To download the .mp3 file of the

Here are the lyrics for you to sing along with:
[Verse 1]
Rolling down the highway, the sun on our face,
With our Family RV Association, we’ve found our place.
From coast to coast, we’re the ones who roam,
In our trusty RVs, we make the world our home.
Living the dream, no clouds in the sky,
Best RV club in the USA, oh my, oh my!
We gather around the fire, stories to tell,
Teaching RVers across the nation, we do it so well.
[Chorus]
F R V A, we’re the road warriors true,
With our hearts on the open road, nothing we can’t do.
Driving through the mountains, rivers, and plains,
In the Family RV Association, we break all the chains.
[Verse 2]
From the deserts of Arizona to the shores of the Keys,
We share tips and laughter, all while enjoying the breeze.
Families come together, forging memories bright,
In our mobile houses, we feel so alive, alright!
Campgrounds and meet-ups, we’re part of a crew,
Waving to each other, it’s the RV life we pursue.
Every turn we take, it’s a new adventure call,
In the F R V A, we’re standing tall.
[Chorus]
F R V A, we’re the road warriors true,
With our hearts on the open road, nothing we can’t do.
Driving through the mountains, rivers, and plains,
In the Family RV Association, we break all the chains.
[Bridge]
Join the family, let your spirit fly,
In the heart of the journey, we’re reaching for the sky.
Teaching RVers with passion, our knowledge we share,
Making every mile a memory, showing that we care.
[Verse 3]
From sunrise to sunset, there’s magic ahead,
In our cozy RVs, we lay our tired heads.
Fireside songs and laughter, echoed through the night,
In this family of travelers, everything feels right.
So raise a toast to freedom, and paths yet to pave,
With the Family RV Association, we’re all bold and brave.
Living in the moment, on the road we belong,
In the heart of the RV life, we sing our song.
[Chorus]
F R V A, we’re the road warriors true,
With our hearts on the open road, nothing we can’t do.
Driving through the mountains, rivers, and plains,
In the Family RV Association, we break all the chains.
[Outro]
So come join the journey, don’t let it pass you by,
With the Family RV Association, we’ll reach for that sky.
From one mile to the next, together we will roam,
In our RV family, forever we are home.
I made a lyric music video below with images of our travels around this beautiful
country. Enjoy!
