🐟 Catching Fish in Maine

Fishing Sebago Lake

In our former life in television we were the ones behind the scenes . . . we produced, edited, marketed, managed and did all things for our fishing TV series, except catch the fish. The host of our series was the lucky one who showed up and hooked all the fun on camera. Our fishing series aired on Discovery channel and local Fox Sports Networks for over 20 years. A lot of our crew members now on RV There Yet? have been with us that long too, so when we found out we'd be fishing on our trip to Maine, there was a bit of relief knowing we'd all just kick into gear and do what we know how to do.

Early Morning Call

We met Capt. Tom Roth, guide, resident, outdoorsman, and Maine know-it-all at the Sebago Lake ramp  early on a foggy morning to go fishing. This was not just any kind of lake fishing, we were going fishing for land-locked salmon. This strain of salmon have been here since the ice age! We couldn't wait to find out more . . .

Kevin Catches a Salmon

We spent the day on Maine's deepest and second-largest lake learning about the history, the origin, and the origin of the fish that call the Sebago Lake habitat home. It's crystal clear, and at the deepest, it's 316 feet. It's gorgeous!!

Patrice Catches a Lake Trout

This segment was a breeze for Kevin to edit . . . Producerman knows how to edit a fishing segment. He could do it with his eyes closed! Ha! It was a fun day, and a fun edit. Join us fishing in "Naples" Saturday, April 15th at 7 a.m. (ET) on MotorTrend TV.

Thank you Capt Tom Roth
