Oh, my word!! Where to even start? So many things to love about RVing this
country, but exploring small towns has to be one of the tops!! Taking the road
less traveled is one of the cornerstones in our RVing mantra. We love to get
off the main interstates and explore small-town America, historic districts,
local communities, and hidden gems.
Don't misunderstand us though, we do love a big city!! We love how big cities
are made up of soooooo many different cultures, stories, flavors, and energy,
but there is something so special about a "Main Street" town where the
businesses are all locally owned, people grew up together, everyone recommends
you visit the shop next door, and the community comes together.
Wherever we go we gain a deeper perspective and appreciation for how this
country was built, settled, and changed. We always bring a piece of that place
back home with us, something to remember our experience and to relive our time
there. Whether it's a local bottle of bourbon, a special book, a coffee mug, a
dozen Runzas (look that one up), or a new friendship that will keep us coming
back. We love finding things that you can't get anywhere else. In this
day and age of online shopping and big box stores, most often than not,
someone has seen it already. Not when you shop in a local Mom & Pop store
in the middle of small-town USA!
Reason #2 why we love to RV this amazing country we call home.
Some of our favorites to explore recently have been:
Clermont County, Ohio (Milford)
Valentine, Nebraska
Ames and Boone County, Iowa
Belfast, Maine
Glendive, Montana
Augusta, Kentucky
Smithville, Tennessee
Filming for Season 4 is happening now!! We'll be back on Discovery Channel on Saturday mornings in
April . . . giddy up! 🤠
